This bill is not fit for purpose

The Children's Wellbeing and Schools Bill otherwise in my opinion more accurately known as the Children's Unhappiness and Surveillance Bill is not fit for purpose for many reasons.

1) It is silent on the voice of the child

2) It erodes parental responsibility around education

3) It erodes school leaders rights around running their schools

4) It reduces educational opportunities for children

5) It turns extended family members, friends and small business' into "educational providers"

6) It does not respect families right to privacy

7)It does not respect children's right to make developmentally appropriate mistakes and to grow up and leave those mistakes in their past where they belong

8) It is discriminatory against some groups with protected characteristics

9) It weakens existing safeguarding protections

When a bill is this unclear it requires many more documents to attempt to make any sense of what the actual bill will achieve then it is impracticable and the government should go back to the drafters and ask them to do better.

so we have the bill

We have the explanatory notes

We have the delegated powers memorandum

We have the human rights memorandum

We have several different impact assessments1,and number 2 and number 3 and and 5 and 6 and 7 and and and 10
